Armed robbers invade apartment

Police are looking for four armed men who robbed a group of people during a home invasion Saturday morning in Aiea.

Three men and a woman were playing video games in an apartment on Ualo Street when the unknown men walked in with shirts covering their faces at about 1:40 a.m., police said.

The assailants struck the woman, 30, in the face and head with the gun and also pistol-whipped a 25-year-old man in the back of the head, police said.

The robbers took cash, a laptop, an iPhone, a video game console and video games, then fled on foot down Moanalua Road. Police said the iPhone was tracked to Wahiawa before its GPS was disabled.

Man, 80, hit by car at swap meet

An 80-year-old man was hit by a car at the Aloha Stadium swap meet yesterday and walked away with scrapes to his arm and knees.

The driver was driving slowly through a crowd of pedestrians near Gate 8 of the stadium and sideswiped the man, who was walking in the same direction, at about 10:15 a.m., police said.

The collision caused the man to fall to his knees. He had minor injuries to his right arm and both knees and refused treatment at the scene.
