DLNR names architecture branch chief

The state Department of Land and Natural Resources and the state Historic Preservation Division have announced the appointment of a new architecture branch chief.

State officials said Tuesday Angie Westfall has been appointed to the post.

The architecture branch reviews all requests for building modifications and assesses the impact of those changes on historic properties.

The state Historic Preservation Division is the official keeper of the state’s history properties register.

The architecture branch is responsible for maintaining the register and assisting in the nomination procedures for both the state and national registers.

Westfall is a graduate of the University of Hawaii and worked as architectural project manager at Conceptual Motion in Santa Barbara, Calif.
