Five people arrested in Chinatown gambling raid

Four men and a woman were arrested on gambling charges in an apparent raid in Chinatown on Friday night.

The arrests were made by police at 71 N. King St. about 10 p.m. Friday, police records show. 

Arrested on various first-degree promotion of gambling charges were a Makiki man, 29; a Chinatown man, 25; a Liliha man, 32; a Chinatown woman, 34; and a Waipio man, 39.

Also arrested at the address was a Kalihi man, 34, on a contempt-of-court count.

All six people were released pending investigation.
