The National Park Service says the money raised is just a fraction of the $11.5 billion needed to fix roads, trails and park buildings. Hikers trek the South Kaibab Trail in Grand Canyon National Park, Ariz.

BAR HARBOR, Maine » Fees at Maine’s only national park are going up this season.

After a six-year moratorium, the federal government is increasing the price of admission at some of its public lands and raising the fees charged for camping, boating and other activities.

Effective May 1, Acadia National Park anticipates that the fee for a seven-day vehicle park pass will increase to $25 from $20; the annual park pass will increase to $50 from $40; and a seven-day individual pass will increase to $12 from $5. A spokeswoman says camping fees will go up but are not yet final.

Only about a third of the 400-plus properties within the National Park Service system charge an entrance fee.

‘Vegas’ musical in New York folds

NEW YORK » The honeymoon between "Honeymoon in Vegas" and Broadway is over. Even Elvis couldn’t save them.

Producers said Tuesday that the musical starring Tony Danza, Rob McClure and Brynn O’Malley will close Sunday after good reviews but dismal box office receipts.

The show was adapted from a 1992 movie starring Nicolas Cage and Sarah Jessica Parker and tells the story of a reluctant groom whose bride-to-be is courted by a Vegas wise guy.

The show has been limping along ever since it opened in January.

Harlem to host arts fair in May

NEW YORK » FLUX Art Fair is coming to Harlem.

Billed as the neighborhood’s first contemporary arts fair, it will feature works by both local and international artists.

It will be held May 14-17 at the historic Corn Exchange building, recently reborn as a retail and office space.

The theme of the fair is "the 21st century artist as a nomad."

More than 50 emerging artists have been selected to participate by guest curators or through a juried process.

FLUX Art grew out of Art in Flux, created in 2012 to give artists opportunities to present their work in underutilized retail spaces.
