Hilo man charged with copper theft from Wainaku center

Norton Castro was charged Friday with copper theft from Wainaku Executive Center.
Hawaii County police have charged a 24-year-old Hilo man with copper theft for an Aug. 14 theft at Wainaku Executive Center.
Norton Castro was arrested Friday morning and taken to the Hilo cellblock.
Detectives charged Castro 4 p.m. Friday with copper theft. His bail was set at $10,000.
He was also charged with violating probation. Bail on that charge was $20,000.
