Oran Charles Kita

Hawaii County authorities charged a homeless man, who allegedly raped and kidnapped a Hawaii island woman and girl Tuesday in the Piihonua area.

Oran Charles Kita, 36, who has no local address, was being held on $891,000 after being charged Thursday night with 15 counts of first-degree sex assault, seven counts of third-degree sex assault, two counts of first-degree terroristic threatening, two counts of kidnapping and promoting a deterimental drug.

Kita is scheduled to appear in court on Monday to face those charges.

Police said the victims, an adult woman and juvenile girl, didn’t know the man, but declined to say whether the victims are related to each other.

Police arrested Kita Wednesday on suspicion of 42 offenses related to the sexual assault and on grand jury indictment for first degree promotion of marijuana and other charges related to a 2011 search warrant at his former home in Hawaiian Paradise Park.

He appeared in court Thursday in connection with the marijuana case.

The perpetrator, who spoke pidgin, approached the woman and the girl sometime between 1 and 4 p.m. Tuesday in the area of the Piihonua bridge, police said.

He took them to a remote area, threatened and sexually assaulted both of them.

Police had put out an alert for the suspect, described as having a dark complexion, between 5 feet 7 and 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighing about 200 pounds with a medium build and a “beer belly.”

He was unshaven, had short black hair, a black mustache and hazel eyes.

Police said they are also investigating Kita in connection with another 2011 sex assault case. No charges have been filed in that case.

What does the “spoke pidgin” have to do with anything? And 5-7, 200 lb is probably definitely momona, not “medium build” with a beer belly.

Hope he has a speedy trial, found guilty and then incarcerated in Halawa where karma can takes it course in prison as some inmates probably know or a related to the woman and child Kita sexually assaulted. In this case do not send Kita to a mainland prison but keep him incarcerated in Hawaii and make sure everyone in prison knows who he is and what he did.

The kind of lives these individuals have are hell on earth, with no future except more arrest and releases repeated. Like living in a revolving door in and out, parasites of the tax payers.
