Suspects sought in two bank robberies in Honolulu
Police are searching for suspects after two banks were robbed Saturday morning, one in Chinatown and the other in the Ala Moana area.
In both cases, a man entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money, then fled with cash, according to police documents. He did not show a weapon.
The Chinatown robbery took place at 10:15 a.m. and the Ala Moana one at 11:05 a.m. It isn’t clear whether the same person is responsible for both, because the suspect has not been identified.
Robbery detail officers are pursuing the cases.

So, where are surveillance pics? Don’t ask for help from the public when HPD posts pics one month from now. They’ll be off island by then.

I think these people are all interns from their high school news paper club.
I think one robbery was at Walmart on Keaumoku street on Saturday. Cannot believe they do not have surveillance videos by both Walmart and the mini bank inside near thr entrance. This was is no secret as many cops converged at Walmart during that time and literally hundreds of people would have been a witness. When the robber does not show a gun, maybe the tellers should give the money in a bag with a concussion grenade that explodes as soon as the robber leaves the premises.
