Spectrum Networks, formerly Oceanic Time Warner locally, is launching a subscription service that will offer local high school sports broadcasts over the web.

The service, Spectrum High School Sports Hawaii, will be available at $400 a year to non-Spectrum subscribers both in Hawaii and on the continent.

One subscription will offer two viewings simultaneously, a spokeswoman said.

Charter Spectrum subscribers in Hawaii already have access to the games both through the OC 16 channel and Spectrum XCast channel, the company said.

Signups for the service begin July 22 with the first broadcast, Kamehameha vs. Farrington football, beginning Aug. 4, a company spokeswoman said.

More than 200 games will be offered during the school year, Spectrum said.
