A 29-year-old man is scheduled to appear in District Court after he was charged with allegedly robbing a tourist in Waikiki.

Keone K. Akau was charged Monday with second-degree robbery. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Thursday at District Court. Akau’s bail is set at $11,000.

Police located Akau in Waianae Saturday and arrested him on suspicion of robbery and seven counts of criminal contempt of court.

His criminal record includes convictions for petty misdemeanor and misdemeanor theft, criminal property damage and misdemeanor assault.
