Honolulu police seek man suspected of burglarizing popular poke purveyor

HONOLULU POLICE DEPARTMENT

Between the evening of December 15 and Sunday afternoon, a male forcibly entered the Ono Seafood restaurant in Kaimuki, removed property from within, and fled through the back in an unknown direction.

Honolulu police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a male suspect who allegedly broke into an eatery in Kaimuki.

The burglary occurred at Ono Seafood located at 747 Kapahulu Ave. sometime between 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 15 and 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 16.

Police said the culprit broke into the restaurant, took property and fled in an unknown direction.

Police released a surveillance video of the suspect with his face partially covered with a cloth.

He was wearing a long-sleeve shirt, baseball cap, gloves and a backpack at the time of the burglary.

Anyone with information on the suspect’s identity is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300.
