Man, 71, collapses after finishing Maui Marathon
A 71-year-old man was in critical condition today after he collapsed at the finish line of the Maui Marathon in Kaanapali.
The incident was reported at 7:38 a.m.
The man regained a pulse after Marathon medical personnel administered a shock from an Automated External Defibrillator. Marathon workers also performed CPR on the man until firefighters arrived.
Paramedics stabilized the man and transported him to Maui Memorial Medical Center.
