No tsunami was generated by a strong earthquake south of the Philippines this evening.
A magnitude-7.3 earthquake rocked an area of the Celebes Sea near the Philippines at 7:13 p.m., the U.S. Geological Survey’s National Earthquake Information Center said.
The epicenter was 117 miles south-southeast of Tabiauan, Philippines.
The temblor was 389 miles deep, too deep to generate a tsunami, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.

Frequency of earthquakes and typhoons in this area is enough for anyone to leave such a hell hole! Yet millions call this area home? Count your blessings, others have only woes.
Where would they go? The Gulf States virtually enslave them, and Drumpf would just ship ’em right back.
389 miles deep is an extremely deep earthquake, especially one of such magnitude. Interesting, if a little foreboding.
