McCully Street lanes closed for emergency utility repairs

The Hawaiian Electric Company said crews are performing emergency work on an underground electrical cable, resulting in the closure of the two center lanes of McCully Street near the Kapiolani and Ala Wai boulevards intersection. The work is expected to continue through the evening.

Crews are replacing a damaged section of 46-kilovolt, underground electrical cables in the McCully area, and will be working in manholes. Traffic cones and signs will mark the work areas.
