Former Hawaii swingman Roderick Flemings is among 12 players trying out for the Dallas Mavericks’ NBA Summer League squad in a mini camp today and tomorrow.
Flemings was not selected in the NBA Draft last week, but could still make a team’s roster as an undrafted free agent with a strong showing in the summer league — but must make it there first.
The 6-foot-7 Dallas native is competing for a small number of spots, perhaps one or two. Most of his competition is former college players from the Texas area.
The summer league starts July 9 in Las Vegas.
