Honolulu firefighters today are investigating the cause of a fire that burned a two-bedroom home in Waialua’s Mill Camp last night.

Mill Camp security had seen homeless people living in the approximately 800 square-foot home on Polu Way since the tenants vacated at the end of June, fire officials said.

Neighbors reported smoke and flames last night and the fire was declared under control at 10:37 p.m. and extinguished about three-and-a-half hours later, fire officials said.

There were no injuries and no estimated cost of the damage.
