Honolulu police arrested a 45-year-old man after an argument in Salt Lake led to a stabbing that left a 48-year-old man in critical condition yesterday, police said.

William A. Cureton of an Ala Moana Boulevard address was arrested yesterday for investigation of attempted murder in the second degree and misdemeanor contempt, police said.

The two men were arguing on Ala Lilikoi Street around 4:40 p.m. when the victim was stabbed multiple times, police said.

Paramedics took him to a hospital in critical condition.
