Payne loses in quarterfinals
Australia’s Adam Meiling eliminated Hawaii’s Dusty Payne 17.07 to 11.50 yesterday in the quarterfinals of the Billabong Pro Jeffreys Bay at Supertubes in South Africa.
Jordy Smith, the ASP ratings leader, went on to win the Association of Surfing Professionals event with a 17.93 to 10.00 win in the final over Meiling.
