A 23-year-old Nuuanu man was arrested yesterday for investigation of assault following an argument with his girlfriend.

The victim, 24, said the suspect is her boyfriend. During a verbal argument in Red Hill on June 25, he grabbed her face and arm, causing her pain, the woman said. 

When she attempted to call police, he grabbed her cell phone from her hand, she said.

The man is being investigated for second-degree theft, third-degree assault, and interfering with the reporting of a crime.
