Former Kaneohe resident Dean Wilson continued his hot streak today with his second straight 5-under 65 that left him tied for the lead at the halfway point of the RBC Canadian Open played in Toronto at the St. George’s Golf and Country Club.

Wilson and Tim Clark shared the 36-hole lead at 10-under 130 just one shot in front of first-day leader Brent Delahoussaye and Steve Wheatcroft, who still had five holes remaining in his second round.

This is the ninth PGA Tour event for the Castle High graduate, who survived just his fourth cut of the season. Wilson carded six birdies and one bogey on the par-70 layout. He does not have his PGA Tour card and is currently 210th on the money list with a meager $65,770.

Wilson has won a single event in his career at the now-defunct International.
