An Ewa Beach man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after firing a rifle in the direction of a woman Sunday night.
The man and woman were arguing at a residence at about 6 p.m. when the suspect picked up a rifle and threatened to kill the woman, police said.
He then fired a round in her direction, police said.
The suspect fled and the woman contacted police.
Officers then located the suspect, 30, nearby at Kapolei Parkway and Kahiuka Street and arrested him.
The woman, also 30, was not injured, police said.
