An 18-month-old boy was in critical condition after he was found unresponsive at his day-care center in Honolulu, police said.
He was taken to the hospital on Wednesday where a doctor deemed his injuries to be suspicious in nature and called police yesterday.
Police did not identify the day-care center. A first-degree assault case has been opened.
