Wahiawa man charged with sexually assaulting a Queen’s patient

A 48-year-old Wahiawa man has been charged with sexually assaulting a patient at the Queen’s Medical Center.

Mckinley Johnson Jr., 49, of Lakeview Circle in Wahiawa, was charged with trespassing and fourth-degree sexual assault.

Bail was set at $2,000, and he appeared in District Court today.

The victim was an 86-year-old woman who said she was sexually assaulted about 7 p.m. Monday, police said.

Officers arrested the man later that night on suspicion of first-degree burglary and third-degree sexual assault.

A Queen’s spokeswoman said patient safety is the highest priority, and the hospital is conducting an internal investigation.
