Film fest draws star of ‘Reign of Assassins’

Congratulations to Jung Woo Sung, who walked the red carpet last week at the Venice Film Festival for his latest film, "Reign of Assassins," which also stars Michelle Yeoh and is directed by John Woo.

Jung’s first film festival appearance was at the Hawaii International Film Festival in 2008 to promote "The Good, the Bad, the Weird."

His other film successes include "Moment to Remember." He is currently filming the TV series, "Athena," the follow-up to "IRIS," which will be broadcast sometime in late October or November.

 

THIS WEEK’S SYNOPSES

"Coffee House"
Episodes 15 -16

Tonight, 6:45 p.m.: Jin-su goes silent while on the live show, scaring Seung-yeon and the staff. But Jin-su soon collects himself and makes the show a success. Seung-yeon’s boss wants to make Jin-su a regular guest on the show for a month. Ji-won loses Eun-young’s wedding ring and asks Jin-su to help him find him.

Tonight, 7:45 p.m.: The morning after a drinking binge with Ji-won and his friends, Seung-yeon remembers what she did to Jin-su and tries to run away. In her attempt to escape, she leaves her purse. Jin-su tells her to bring four sets of documents to claim her purse and reads a draft of her novel.

"Definitely Neighbors"
Episodes 31-32

Tomorrow, 7:45 p.m.: Sung-jae and Jong-soon discuss a note meant for Yong-sil that Jong-soon found. Woo-jin returns Yong-sil’s things, but acts like he didn’t find her muffler. Ki-hoon and Ha-yong go to Yong-sil’s house, where Yong-ju tries to set Ha-yong straight. Joon-seo asks Eun-seo to come over and play. Eun-seo goes without telling Ji-yong. When Eun-seo can’t be found, everyone starts looking for her.

Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: Gun-hee goes on another date and it bothers Ji-yong. Ji-yong and Mee-jin have a talk and decide to be civil to each other. In-soo finds out Jong-min hasn’t been going to school and is desperate to find the boy. Jung-soon wants to set up Woo-jin, but he won’t hear of it. Ji-yong and Gun-hee have a great day in the country. Jung-soon asks Woo-jin if she can move in.

"Bad Boy"
Episodes 15-16

Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: President Hong faints while asking Gunwook to stop his revenge. Mrs. Shin yells and tells Gunwook to leave the hospital room. Taesung finds out about President Hong’s condition and rushes to the hospital. Mrs. Shin tells Taesung about Terra and Gunwook’s relationship and blames Taesung for what is happening.

Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Jaein is devastated when she hears about Gunwook’s death. Detective Kwak continues to look for clues and questions the nurse. Kwak finds out from a nurse that a man in his 50s is involved in the case. Terra orders her worker to do whatever it takes to find Gunwook.

"Life Is Beautiful"
Episodes 35-36

Friday, 7:45 p.m.: Byungjun apologizes to Byunggeol about what happened at the resort, but Byunggeol is not appeased. Ara hears what happened and offers to invite Byunggeol to dinner, but Byungjun says no, saying Gyunggeol will catch on to their relationship. Hosup shows Yeonju his room, and the two share their first kiss.

Saturday, 7:45 p.m.: Minjae tells Byungtae that Jihye’s dying father wants to see Jihye. Byungtae tells her to let him see Jihye but she refuses, saying he never wanted to see his daughter when he was well. Byungjun calls in sick and a concerned Ara visits at the house. The family gets suspicious about the nature of the relationship between Byungjun and Ara.
