Democratic state Sen. Colleen Hanabusa raised $330,000 in the last two months in her bid to unseat incumbent U.S. Rep. Charles Djou in the race for Hawaii’s 1st Congressional District.

Djou, a Republican who won the seat in a special election in May, raised $206,000 in July and August.

Campaign spending reports were posted today online at the Federal Election Commission’s website.

Djou outspent Hanabusa $157,000 to $138,000.

Both have spent minimally in the months leading up to the Sept. 18 primary. Facing little-known opponents, both are expected to advance and face off in the Nov. 2 general election.

Djou has the edge in cash on hand, with $428,000 available, compared to Hanabusa who had $404,000.

For the election cycle to date, Djou has raised $1.83 million, compared to $1.69 million for Hanabusa.
