Honolulu police are searching for a burglary suspect this afternoon in Waialae Nui.

Also in the area, unrelated to the search, police blocked off Ainakoa Avenue near Halekoa Drive because of a water main break.

A neighbor saw the burglary on Halekoa Drive about 1 p.m. and described the suspect as wearing a skull cap, a gray tank top and pants, police dispatch said.

No weapons were seen and no one was in danger, police said.

The police helicopter is assisting in the search.

Police are also on scene at Ainakoa Avenue near Halekoa Drive after an 8-inch water main broke about 12:30 p.m. One lane is closed.

About 20 homes lost water after the break occurred at 1355 Ainakoa Ave., said Board of Water Supply spokeswoman Tracy Burgo.
