Water service was restored to about 20 homes in Kailua at 1:45 p.m. today by city Board of Water Supply workers.
Only one lane of Wanaao Road has been reopened, however, as crews continue to finish up repairs to a 6-inch water main that ruptured at 12:40 a.m. between Pouli Road and Kahiaka Street.
The section of Wanaao had been shut down entirely since the break.
