‘Dog’ Chapman backs candidate for Colorado governor
DENVER >> TV bounty hunter Duane "Dog" Chapman and an outspoken Arizona sheriff headlined a Denver fundraiser for third-party gubernatorial candidate Tom Tancredo today.
Chapman, star of the A&E reality show "Dog The Bounty Hunter," and Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio helped raise money for Tancredo at a Western dance hall called The Grizzly Rose.
Tancredo is a former Republican congressman who’s running for Colorado governor as a third-party candidate. He’s a staunch opponent to illegal immigration and says GOP gubernatorial candidate Dan Maes can’t win.
Chapman was born and raised in Denver. He’s lived in Hawaii for several years but says he still pays taxes in Colorado and cares about the state.
He told KCNC-TV Tancredo is "a very good man."
