Prosecutors charged a man and woman arrested Sunday night following a fight over a parking space at a Kaimuki apartment with burglary and third-degree assault.

Bail for Travis Arakawa, 41, and Andrew Derit, 39, was set at $30,000. A bail hearing was scheduled for today.

Police said Derit got into an argument just before 11 p.m. Sunday night with a 34-year-old man over a parking space at a 10th Avenue apartment building. Derit allegedly punched the victim and knocked him to the ground. Arakawa then began kicking the victim, police said.

The 34-year-old man ran into his apartment, but the two suspects allegedly chased him, broke into his home, and continued hitting him. Police said the suspects also assaulted a 33-year-old woman, a guest in the apartment.
