Aiona to kick off 4-island bus tour

Republican gubernatorial hopeful James “Duke” Aiona is set to kick off a four-island bus tour featuring sign waving and rallies.

The tour was scheduled to begin Tuesday afternoon on Kauai, with sign waving at a Walmart in Lihue on Kuhio Highway. Three other events also were planned on Kauai.

On Thursday, Aiona will be on Maui for six events, starting at 9:20 a.m. with sign waving near a Costco on Haleakala Highway in Kahului.

He will be on the Big Island on Friday for nine events, starting with an 8:40 a.m. sign waving at Queen’s Marketplace in Waikoloa.

On Saturday, two campaign buses will make several stops on Oahu, beginning at 8 a.m. The tour ends with a 6:30 p.m. rally at Aiona’s headquarters on Nimitz Highway.
