Two Waikele-area accidents snarl H1 traffic
West-bound traffic along H-1 Freeway was more slow-moving than usual this evening as a result of two crashes — one near the Manager’s Drive Overpass just after the Waikele off-ramp, and near the Kamehameha Highway overpass, just past the H-1/H-2 Interchange and before the Waikele off-ramp.
Traffic around 4: 30 p.m. was so bad that westbound traffic was backed up to the Airport Viaduct on the H-1 side and Fort Shafter on the Moanalua Freeway side.
Traffic appeared to be clearing about 6 although westbound traffic was still slow-moving through Aiea.
