Led by Kanani Danielson’s 18 kills, No. 3 Hawaii defeated Idaho 25-18, 25-17, 25-13 in 87 minutes tonight at the Stan Sheriff Center to finish the Western Athletic Conference volleyball regular season 16-0, 48-0 in sets.

It was the first time in program history that the Rainbow Wahine (27-1) had not dropped a set during regular-season conference play. Hawaii, getting 11 kills from Chanteal Satele, hasn’t dropped a set since Sept. 11 against Saint Mary’s, winning its last 59 straight.

It was the 22nd consecutive victory for the Wahine, who open next week’s WAC tournament as the top seeds. The match lasted 87 minutes.

Tonight was also the final regular-season home match for Hawaii seniors Dani Mafua and Elizabeth Ka’aihue. Mafua finished with 42 assists and Ka’aihue 12 digs.
