Two arrested for allegedly robbing a woman in Kalihi; a third suspect is sought

A man and a woman were arrested, and a third suspect is being sought in connection with the robbery of a woman as she was walking in Kalihi Uka this morning.

Police said the victim, 19, was confronted at about 8:50 a.m. by a man, believed to be in his 20s who pointed a gun at her and demanded her property.

A second suspect, a 36-year-old man of a Houghtailing Street address, grabbed the victim’s wallet while a third suspect, a 29-year-old woman of a Mailiilii Road address, wrapped a dog leash around her neck and pulled her to the ground.

The victim managed to escape, notify police and later point out the second and third suspects as they were walking nearby on Kalihi Street. The two were arrested on suspicion of first-degree robbery while the first suspect who pointed the gun remains at large.
