Australia’s Joel Parkinson, 29, won his third consecutive Vans Triple Crown title today without surfing.
Parkinson, who was eliminated Wednesday in the Billabong Pipe Masters in memory of Andy Irons, held the lead for the Triple Crown with the only fellow Australian Adrian Buchan having a shot of catching Parkinson.
But Buchan needed to win the Billabong, which was completed today with France’s Jeremy Flores winning the event.
