The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s office has identified a body found in a burning car this morning as Dahlia Barr, 54, of Kaneohe.

An autopsy will be performed tomorrow to try to determine the cause of Barr’s death.

Firefighters discovered Barr’s body at 5:54 a.m. today after extinguishing a car fire that started at 5:17 a.m. on Kahuhipa Street near Malina Place, firefighters said.

Barr’s body was found at 46-132 Kahuhipa St., the address of Barr’s Muffler & Welding Shop, according to the Medical Examiner’s office.

Dahlia Barr was listed as vice president and director of the muffler shop in a 2008 filing, according to state business records.
