Motorcyclist dies in crash on Kauai
A motorcyclist died after a crash early this morning in Hanamaulu, Kauai, a county news release said.
The accident happened about 1:13 a.m. on Laukona Street near Ohia Street.
KPD’s Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the accident, and believes excessive speed may have been a factor, the county said. This is Kauai’s first traffic fatality of 2011.
The name of the 27-year old male victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
