Kalihi man arrested for alleged sex assault
Police arrested a 24-year-old Kalihi man after he allegedly tried to sexually assault an 18-year-old woman with whom he had been out.
Police said the two were acquaintances and had been at a party in Waikiki.
After the two left the party, the man allegedly tried to sexually assault the woman at 2:30 a.m. Sunday at a Waikiki park.
The man was arrested later that morning on suspicion of first-degree attempted sexual assault and kidnapping.
