Three men were arrested on cockfighting-related charges at a Kalihi Valley address over the weekend.

The men were arrested on Kalaepaa Drive in Kalihi Valley about 2:15 p.m. Saturday.

Arrested and charged with cruelty to animals and a gaff violation were Bernard Castro, 42, of Kalihi, and Allan K. Kubota Jr. of Kahuku. Both were released on $100 bail.

Donald Jainar Patacsil, 23, of Waipahu, was charged with a gaff prohibition and released on $100 bail.

It was the second straight weekend people were arrested on cockfighting charges. Two men were arrested Jan. 30 on similar charges in Whitmore Village.
