Nissan Suspends Production at Electric Car Battery Plant
Nissan Motor Co. said it suspended operations at a plant in Kanagawa prefecture, west of Tokyo, that produces lithium-ion batteries for electric cars after an earthquake in Japan. The suspension adds to the four other Nissan factories.
The factories will be closed through March 13. Nissan will assess the situation tomorrow, the company said in an e-mailed statement.
