Oahu beaches closed until further notice
Oahu beaches remain closed to the public until further notice because of the tsunami, city Ocean Safety Division administrator Ralph Goto said.
“It’s still not completely over,” Goto said at 10:54 a.m. today.
He said there were still tidal surges and currents, posing a danger to people.
Ocean Safety employees said thousands of visitors were entering the ocean, despite warnings.
