Hawaii’s unemployment rate unchanged at 6.3 percent in February

The unemployment rate in Hawaii was steady at 6.3 percent in February, the state Department of Labor and Industrial Relations said today.

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for February was unchanged from January.

In a news relase the state Labor Deparment said: “There were 591,950 employed and 39,750 unemployed in February, for a total seasonally adjusted labor force of 631,700. Nationally, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate declined slightly to 8.9 percent in February from 9.0 percent in January.”
