Celebrating Hawaii’s kupuna
Join a gathering Tuesday at the state Capitol to support programs for seniors. AARP Hawaii is organizing the event as part of Family Caregiver Awareness Day. There will be an 11 a.m. rally to support funding for Kupuna Care, which provides home-delivered meals through Lanakila Meals on Wheels, as well as personal care, help with chores and transportation for seniors. More than 50 groups providing services to older adults will also be on hand at a resource fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Capitol.
