Country singer Willie Nelson is due to perform at a Hawaii fundraiser for victims of the earthquake and tsunamis that hit Japan earlier this month.

Concert organizers said Tuesday the part-time Maui resident will join Michael McDonald and Mick Fleetwood as well as Hawaii artists including Henry Kapono and Amy Hanaialii at the benefit scheduled for April 10. The event is called "Kokua For Japan," using the Hawaiian word for "help."

The concert is due to be held on the Great Lawn at Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki. Tickets are $15, and all proceeds are due to support the American Red Cross for Japan earthquake and Pacific tsunami relief efforts.
