12-year-old boy arrested for throwing firecracker device at school

Honolulu police arrested a 12-year-old boy at an unidentified Kaimuki school Thursday morning after a school official called police about an improvised, firecracker-like device allegedly thrown by the boy.

No injuries were reported in the 7:45 a.m. incident.

The boy was arrested for reckless endangering and released pending further investigation.
