Three men were arrested after two fights broke out in Nawiliwili, Kauai.

About 2 a.m. Thursday, a crowd of 60 to 80 people surrounded two men, ages 20 and 21, who were fighting in an area fronting the Nawiliwili Tavern, police said.

Police used a Taser to subdue the men, both from Virginia, after they refused to comply with officers.

As they were being handcuffed, another fight broke out between a 22-year-old man of Kapaa and an unknown male suspect. Police used pepper spray to stop the fight.

All three men were arrested for investigation of third-degree assault. They have since been released.

Anyone with information on the unknown male suspect is asked to call police dispatch at 241-1711.
