Services set for missing bodysurfer
A celebration of life ceremony will be held Saturday for Lance Waiokeola Kaowili, 47, of Hauula, who was last seen on March 24 at Sandy Beach on Oahu.
Visitation will begin at 3:30 p.m. with services to follow at 5 p.m. at the Bernice Pauahi Bishop Memorial Chapel at Kamehameha Schools. Aloha attire.
Kaowili, a Kamehameha Schools alumnus born June 21, 1963, was an active bodysurfer and worked as a carpenter, roofer and newspaper deliveryman.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Casey; sons Keenan and Kai; daughters Keli-Grace and Kina; mother Lynette Takayesu; brothers Ocean and Lawrence; sisters Laureen Stanfield and Lorna Kometani; and five grandchildren.
