Honolulu police are asking for the public's help in identifying two women who attempted to pawn two large koa jewelry boxes on Wednesday.

Police are looking for two women who allegedly burglarized a Ewa home on Wednesday and then unsuccessfully tried to pawn the stolen items at an Ewa Beach pawn shop.

A neighbor of the victims saw two women coming out of the Aawa Drive home in West Loch Fairways subdivision carrying two large koa jewelry boxes and leaving in a black SUV, according to a CrimeStoppers news release.

The residents of the home found they had been burglarized and that the two jewelry boxes were missing.

The two women tried to pawn the boxes at an Ewa Beach pawn shop, where the clerk became suspicious and asked everyone for identification, police said. The women refused and left with the boxes.

Both women were in their 20s. CrimeStoppers released security photos from the pawn shop.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME from a cell phone.
