Fundraiser for Japan at Trump features Hu, Dacascos as hosts

KELLY HU and Mark Dacascos will co-host a benefit for Japan’s children displaced by the hurricane and tsunami from 6 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at Trump International Hotel at Waikiki Beach Walk. The cost is $300 per person and $500 a couple. The benefit will feature a cocktail reception, silent auction and pool deck concert by jazz fusion band Hiroshima. Numerous auction items are headlined by “The Celebrity Apprentice” package. It includes two tickets to the May 22 season finale of the NBC show, round-trip airfare for two to New York City, a four-night stay at Trump SoHo New York and VIP access to the show’s afterparty. THE WEEKLY Hawaiian music series Pakele Live! with Tony Solis at the Willows presented a series of concerts, raising $18,000 for Japan’s earthquake and tsunami victims. The shows were held Thursdays, March 17 to April 14. Performers included Natalie Ai Kamauu, Kuuipo Kumukahi, Kenneth Makuakane, Herb Ohta Jr., Kupaoa, Kainani Kahaunaele, Jon Yamasato, David Kamakahi, Nathan Aweau and Eric Lee.
