Moanalua’s Koga wins girls state golf title

Moanalua sophomore Eimi Koga held her lead against 35-mph winds and the pursuit of older players to win the David S. Ishii Foundation/HHSAA Girls Golf Championship today at Waikoloa Village Golf Course.

Koga, who has won the OIA title her first two years, shot 77 in the final round. Her two-day total of 3-over 147 was one shot better than Iolani junior Marissa Chow (74) and defending champion Cassy Isagawa (76), a Baldwin senior.
