A 59-year-old man was arrested after allegedly assaulting a maintenance worker with a cane at Kuhio Park Terrace Friday morning.

Police said the victim, 66, asked the suspect to leave the restroom so he could clean it. The suspect left angrily, police said.

When the worker was done cleaning, he approached the suspect to speak to him. As he did so, the second man began assaulting him with a wooden walking cane, police said. 

The man, who lives in the Kalihi housing complex, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and is being held on $11,000 bail.
