17-year-old boy arrested for allegedly taking cell phone
Honolulu police arrested at 17-year-old boy on suspicion of second-degree theft after he allegedly snatched a cell phone from a 42-year-old man in the parking lot of the Waipahu Library about 11 p.m. Sunday.
Police said the teenager approached the 42-year-old man and asked for a cigarette and money. When the victim said he didn’t have anything, police said the suspect took the victim’s cell phone.
Police located and arrested the suspect after the victim reported the incident.
